Taureau Group Advises Moore Holding Company on New Acquisition

Moore Holding Company, a 100% employee owned holding company based in Fargo, ND, has acquired Communication Network Engineering, Inc. (CNE), a telecommunication engineering company with locations in Fargo, ND and New London, MN. CNE joins Moore’s family of companies, which includes Moore Engineering, Inc., Holly Beck Surveying and Engineering, Inc. and Houston-Moore Group.
Blake Griffin, PE, will remain CNE’s president. The company will retain its name, brand identity and current locations.
Jeffry Volk, PE, and CEO of Moore Holding Company, said CNE, as a telecommunication engineering company, represents diversification for its family of companies. “CNE brings us into a whole new engineering specialty,” he said. “From a technical perspective, communication engineering and civil engineering have a lot in common, but they serve entirely different clients and markets. It’s a good fit for us because it meets our goals of expanding services and reaching into new markets. Most importantly, they’re a strong, successful company with a culture that fits well in the employee ownership model.”
Taureau Group, LLC has represented Moore Holding Company on two prior business transactions, continuing to help the company expand its product offerings and geographic reach.
